Drug and alcohol inpatient treatment allows you to access substance use recovery in a safe, supportive, and organized environment. Find your community through special group sessions on topics like stress management, decision-making, communication, and coping skills. Substance use treatment is self-paced and lengths of stay are based on individual needs and each patient’s progress.

What to Bring to Treatment

Be prepared to stay in residential treatment for several weeks. Here’s a list of what to bring along with items that aren’t allowed while in treatment:

  • A week’s worth of seasonally-appropriate clothing and a pair of closed-toed shoes
    • If attending a location with a child, please bring a week’s worth of clothing for your child
  • Personal toiletry and hygiene products (no products in aerosol cans)
  • Driver’s license or photo ID
  • If applicable, please also bring a copy of your insurance information
  • If on a prescription medication, bring a month’s supply in the original bottle with the physician’s orders
    • Children under the age of 13 will need a prescription for Tylenol and/or Ibuprofen
  • Small personal items
  • An alarm clock
  • If attending a location with your child, please be sure to bring toys, a car seat and have your child(ren)’s pediatrician fax their immunization records to ASAC
  • Please bring your EBT (food stamp card) with you, if applicable

What Not to Bring

  1. You may NOT bring alcohol, non-prescribed medications, weapons, straight razors, food/beverages or pets.
  2. You may NOT bring your cell phone or any other unauthorized electronics while in residential treatment.
  3. All ASAC locations are tobacco/nicotine free. Smoking and vaping is not allowed.
